I am sure you are aware of this. We can live until we are 90+ or we can not make it through tomorrow.
If we know this, then why do we get so caught up in the negative actions that happen to us.
W E A L L D O I T.
I am not referring to the tragic and unbearable moments that we may unfortunately experience in life. I am talking about the small things that are out of our control that take over our HAPPINESS.
I believe we have to train our mind to be positive. We have to force ourselves to change our mindset, when we face situations that impact us negatively. It is SO hard to do this. How can we possibly try to think of something happy while we are upset with our emotions? Yet, why do we spend the precious time that we have here to let negative moments conquer us?
Mental balance is SO VERY important. The truth is others do not care how they may impact your life in obstructive ways. Or maybe, an accident happened to you that you cannot change. How do we overcome these things for our own sanity?
My simple answer, but a challenging one, is to train our MINDSET.
I have ways how I cope with challenging times in my life. I know other people are going through something far more horrible than I am, so I remind myself of this. I say to myself, it could always be worse. But, I too, get stuck in an attitude of WHY ME. You know, that mentality of, I HAVE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH AND I DO NOT NEED CHALLENGED ANYMORE. I CAN’T POSSIBLY TAKE ANY MORE.
Then I realize that I need to refocus. I need to walk away from what is bringing me down. I need to know that I am worthy. I need to remind myself of what faith is all about. I need to know not to give up. I need to know I am not alone in feeling this way. I need to know that there are better days ahead, yet be aware that I will face rough days as well.
In our short life here, we need to stop giving the negative “things” so much of our attention. Let us all take a deep breath. Let us change our life to improve the quality of our mental health. If it upsets you and brings you down repeatedly, change your environment. You are in control of your happiness. I want nothing but the best for all of us. -Gracee
